I have always had a fascination with pre-war Los Angeles and the stick-frame buildings of that era. Add in the mysteries of such writers as Ross MacDonald and Raymond Chandler and you have a recipe for murder and mayhem.
The building shown above isn't in LA but Laguna Beach, CA. Still it could very well be the backdrop for a murder mystery.
To top it off the name of the real-estate company in the sign on the left is 'Chandler.'
You gotta love it.
