When I was at LACMA for the opening of the Broad building there were two Serra steel sculptures and the ceiling was lower. Now there is one sculpture, and I swear the ceiling is higher. Can't prove it but . . . The second Serra sculpture was replaced by the toy complex: "Chris Burden: Metropolis II."
I could walk around the sculpture all day and never get tired of it. And the photo possibilities are endless. Infinite. Never ending.
Maybe that's the point. You never see it the same way twice.
Question for LACMA: Was there a second Serra steel sculpture? If yes where is it? And how the hell did you get it out of there?
