A Perfect Storm On The Expo Line

John Krill: 100,000 CyclistsI quote the LA Times:
Officials said today that motorists should expect major traffic delays in parts of Los Angeles as an estimated 100,000 people take part in the CicLAvia bike event.
The end result is that many of us attending the Festival of Books and using the Expo rail line had to wait for the second, or third train because the cyclists were taking up entire trains with their bikes.

John Krill: 100,000 CyclistsFor me it was a one hour trip that usually took 30 minutes. And standing the entire way. And Me the Old, Grumpy, and Tired Fellow.

Culver City Public Art - Again

John Krill: Culver City Public Art There is a story in the Sunday LA Times on the public art that is across the street form the Expo line's last stop in Culver City. I originally showed a part of the art back on September 27, 2012.

Read the story on how the art came to be and it's future in the LA Times.

Public Art In Culver City

John Krill: Street Scene At Expo Line Terminus In Culver City After taking the new Expo line to it's terminus in Culver City I took a quick look at the streets surrounding the station stop.

Love public art. The work can be seen from the Metro trains.
